Misty Maple Hollow Pick-Up Procedures and Policy
Please note: We do not allow the public onto our back farm with the animals. This is a major biosecurity issue, and is a part of our NPIP certification, so we cannot make exceptions.
Birds will be brought out to you. We meet at the area by the farmstand.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE:
- Park anywhere in the driveway, but please do not go past the gate.
- If we aren’t already out to greet you, please text us at 774-314-7738
- Please keep any kids and pets inside the vehicle, and either wait in or by your vehicle.
- We do not have any public bathrooms on the farm. There are multiple Dunkin Donuts and Cumberland Farms within 5-10 minutes that do if you need to go.
PAYMENT AT PICKUP:
- If there is a balance due, please bring cash to pay when picking up.
- We don’t negotiate at pick-up, and will not release the birds if you forgot to bring enough money.
BRINGING THE BIRDS HOME:
- Please bring a proper carrier to bring them home. If you don’t have a carrier made for birds, a small animal crate is great for older birds who are off heat.
- If you are bringing young chicks (under 2-3 weeks) home, a box works better than a crate to help keep them warm when they get home.
LOCATION:
We are located at 198 Ashburnham State Rd, Westminster MA, which is Route 12 between Fitchburg and Ashburnham.
If you’re coming from downtown Ashburnham, we’re about a 4 minute drive towards Fitchburg from town center. If you’re coming from Fitchburg, we’re on the left a little bit past the farm up on the hill, but before you hit Dean Hill and Jewel Hill Road. If you hit Ashburnham center, you went about 4 minutes too far.
